Furniture Materials & Care
Crafted from the Finest Materials
At Dainté Living, every piece begins with a commitment to exceptional craftsmanship and thoughtfully selected materials. We believe that timeless furniture is not defined solely by its design, but by the quality of the materials from which it is made and the care invested in every stage of its creation.
From sustainably sourced plantation-grown mahogany wood and teak wood harvested from responsibly managed forests in Java to carefully selected natural marbles from Italy and Indonesia, each material is chosen for its beauty, durability, and ability to stand the test of time. Every component is hand-picked to complement our handcrafted furniture while meeting the practical demands of everyday living.
Our marble collections feature timeless Italian favourites such as White Carrara, renowned for its refined elegance and subtle veining, alongside the bold character of Calacatta and Statuario. We also incorporate premium Indonesian marbles, including Citatah Beige (Java Cream) and Tulungagung Marble, valued for their warm tones and distinctive natural patterns. To ensure consistent quality and authenticity, we work with respected stone specialists such as Fegatti, Itamar Indonesia, and Simplystone.
For upholstery, we carefully source premium fabrics and leathers from trusted manufacturers across Italy, Turkey, Indonesia, and the wider Asia-Pacific region. Our genuine leather collections include premium hides from Gruppo Mastrotto Indonesia®, complemented by carefully selected leathers from renowned Javanese tanning regions including Garut (West Java), Magetan, and Yogyakarta, where generations of leather craftsmanship continue to thrive. By working with trusted suppliers and experienced artisans, we create furniture designed not only to enrich beautiful homes today, but to be enjoyed and appreciated for generations to come.

Sustainable Sourced Solid Wood
Timeless Strength. Natural Beauty.
Solid wood remains at the heart of many Dainté Living collections. We primarily work with plantation-grown mahogany and teak harvested from responsibly managed forests across Java, Indonesia.
Mahogany is prized for its fine grain, excellent dimensional stability, and natural resistance to warping, making it one of the most desirable hardwoods for premium furniture. Its rich texture and ability to accept stains and finishes beautifully allow each handcrafted piece to showcase timeless elegance.
Teak is selected for projects requiring exceptional durability and moisture resistance. Naturally rich in protective oils, teak performs remarkably well in varying climates while developing a graceful character over time.
Because wood is a natural material, every piece displays its own unique grain patterns, colour variations, and natural characteristics, making every Dainté Living furniture piece truly one of a kind.
Care & Maintenance:
- Dust regularly using a soft microfiber cloth.
- Wipe spills immediately with dry cloth.
- Use coasters and placemats whenever possible.
- Avoid prolonged exposure under direct sunlight or heater. This can cause small cracks to appear or the finishing to fade.
- Use pads, cloths or felt to protect your furniture surface from severe damages. Materials such as plastic or rubber, hot dishes or beverages, bookend, flowerpots, etc. may contain chemicals that could potentially harm your furniture.
- Touch up cracks, small stains, and uneven wood with brush and paint. You may also use a wood stain liquid matching finish for better effect.
- Maintain a stable environment by avoiding excessive humidity.
Premium Natural Marble
Nature's Finest Stone
Natural marble has long been admired for its timeless elegance and distinctive veining. Every slab is formed naturally over millions of years, meaning no two pieces are ever identical.
Our collections feature carefully selected Italian marbles including White Carrara, Calacatta, and Statuario. White Carrara offers refined grey veining and understated elegance, while Calacatta and Statuario are celebrated for their dramatic patterns that create striking statement pieces.
Alongside our imported selections, we also utilise premium Indonesian marbles including Citatah Beige (Java Cream) and Tulungagung Marble, valued for their warm cream tones and naturally flowing veining.
To ensure consistency and authenticity, we work with established stone specialists including Fegatti, Itamar Indonesia, and Simplystone.
Care & Maintenance:
- Clean with a damp microfiber cloth.
- Wipe acidic spills immediately.
- Use placemats and coasters to minimise staining risks.
- Do not place hot dishes or sharp objects directly on top of your marble furniture. Use coasters and trays instead.
- Avoid leaving stains, especially that of wine, coffee, vinegar, citrus or chili sauce, on the furniture’s surface overnight.
- Avoid harsh chemical cleaners. Use a non-abrasive detergent to remove stains. You may also use marble stain remover or poultice powder as an alternative.

Our genuine leather collections include premium hides supplied by Gruppo Mastrotto Indonesia®, alongside carefully selected Javanese leather sourced from renowned tanning regions including Garut (West Java), Magetan, and Yogyakarta. These regions have long been recognised for their expertise in leather tanning and craftsmanship, allowing us to offer a diverse range of textures, finishes, and colours.

Care & Maintenance:
- For both leather types, wipe regularly using soft dry cloth.

- Wipe fingerprints with a damp microfiber cloth.

Outdoor Furniture
Crafted for Outdoor Living
Our outdoor furniture is thoughtfully designed to withstand the demands of outdoor environments while maintaining the refined aesthetics that define Dainté Living. To achieve the ideal balance of durability, comfort, and timeless style, we carefully select weather-resistant materials including solid teak wood, premium rattan, marine-grade stainless steel, and performance outdoor fabrics.
Each material is chosen for its ability to perform in tropical climates while offering lasting beauty with proper care and maintenance.
• Solid Teak Wood
Naturally rich in protective oils, teak is one of the world's most durable hardwoods for outdoor furniture. Its exceptional resistance to moisture, insects, and decay makes it well suited to Singapore's tropical climate. Over time, untreated teak will naturally develop a soft silver-grey patina when exposed to the elements—a characteristic appreciated by many for its weathered elegance.
Care & Maintenance:
- Clean regularly using a soft brush or damp cloth to remove dirt and debris.
- To preserve teak's original golden-brown colour, apply a quality teak oil or teak protector every 6–12 months.
- Avoid allowing water or leaves to remain on the surface for extended periods.
- Do not use harsh chemical cleaners or pressure washers.
• Premium Rattan
Our premium rattan offers superior resistance to moisture, UV exposure, and everyday outdoor use. It is easy to maintain and suitable for year-round outdoor living.
Care & Maintenance:
- Wipe clean with mild soap and water.
- Rinse occasionally to remove accumulated dust or dirt.
- Avoid dragging furniture across rough surfaces.
- Cover furniture during extended periods of non-use whenever possible.
• Outdoor Upholstery Fabrics
Our outdoor cushions are upholstered in performance fabrics designed to resist fading, moisture, and mildew while maintaining exceptional comfort.
Care & Maintenance:
- Store outdoor cushions indoors or in a dry, covered area when not in use for extended periods.
- Allow cushions to dry completely if exposed to rain before storing.
- Brush away loose dirt regularly and clean spills promptly using mild soap and water.
- Avoid prolonged storage while damp to minimise the risk of mildew.
Outdoor furniture is continually exposed to sunlight, rain, humidity, and changing weather conditions. With regular cleaning, appropriate protection, and routine maintenance, your Dainté Living outdoor furniture will continue to provide comfort, beauty, and lasting performance for many years.
Caring for Your Furniture
Exceptional furniture is designed to last, but proper care helps preserve its beauty for generations.
Natural materials continue to respond to their environment throughout their lifetime. Wood expands and contracts slightly with seasonal humidity, leather develops a rich patina through regular use, and marble gradually acquires a softer character over time. These are not imperfections—they are part of the natural ageing process that gives handcrafted furniture its enduring charm.
Simple habits such as cleaning spills promptly, protecting surfaces from excessive heat, avoiding prolonged direct sunlight, and following the recommended care guidelines will help maintain the beauty of your furniture for many years.
At Dainté Living, we believe that quality furniture should not simply furnish a home—it should become part of its story, creating memories that can be appreciated for generations to come.
