Our Materials & Craftmanship

Built on Quality. Crafted for Everyday Living.

Beautiful interiors begin beneath the surface. Every board, finish, stone surface, and hardware component is carefully selected to create bespoke spaces that are elegant, durable, and built to stand the test of time. At Dainté Living, we believe exceptional craftsmanship starts with choosing the right materials for the right purpose.

Building Quality from the Inside Out

The materials hidden behind every cabinet, wardrobe, wall feature, and vanity are just as important as the finishes you see. Different areas of the home require different construction methods to withstand moisture, daily use, and long-term wear. Rather than relying on a single material throughout, we carefully specify each component based on its intended application, ensuring every project achieves the ideal balance of beauty, durability, and performance.

Engineered Boards & Core Materials

These structural materials form the foundation of our custom cabinetry and architectural features.

Moisture-Resistant Boards

Applications :

Kitchen Cabinetry • Bathroom Vanities • Laundry Cabinets

For wet areas such as kitchens and bathrooms, we use specially engineered moisture-resistant boards designed to minimise swelling, warping, and deterioration caused by humidity. This helps maintain the structural integrity of your cabinetry while extending its lifespan in demanding environments.

Low-Emission E1 & ENF Grade Boards

Applications :

Cabinetry • Wardrobes • Interior Joinery

We carefully select E1-grade and premium ENF-grade panel boards with extremely low formaldehyde emissions. These environmentally conscious materials help promote healthier indoor air quality while maintaining excellent strength, stability, and long-term performance.

High-Density Particleboard

Applications :

Wardrobes • Cabinet Carcasses • Storage Systems

High-density particleboard provides excellent dimensional stability and consistent structural performance. Manufactured to strict quality standards, it offers dependable load-bearing capacity while resisting deformation under everyday use, making it an ideal foundation for wardrobes and built-in cabinetry.

Medium-Density Fibreboard (MDF)

Applications :

Cabinet Doors • Routed Panels • Wall Features • Decorative Mouldings

Made from highly compressed wood fibres, MDF provides an exceptionally smooth and homogeneous surface. Its precision-machining characteristics make it the preferred material for intricate panel routings, shaker profiles, decorative wall panelling, and painted cabinetry.

Multi-Layer Solid Wood Boards (Plywood)

Applications :

Kitchen Sink Cabinets • Bathroom Vanity Frames • High-Moisture Areas

Constructed from multiple layers of real wood veneers bonded in alternating grain directions, plywood offers outstanding structural strength and moisture resistance. It is particularly well suited for demanding environments where long-term durability is essential.

Premium OSB Boards

Applications :

Cabinets • Structural Carpentry • Heavy-duty Storage

Our premium oriented strand boards are engineered using multiple layers of solid wood strands bonded with formaldehyde-free MDI adhesive technology. This advanced construction delivers exceptional structural stability, excellent screw-holding strength, and enhanced resistance to moisture.

Solid Wood and Natural Veneers

Applications :

Selected Bespoke Furniture • Decorative Cabinetry • Feature Details

For selected premium projects, we incorporate solid wood components and refined natural wood veneers to introduce warmth, texture, and timeless character while preserving the elegance of bespoke craftsmanship.

Decorative Surface Finishes

The finish defines both the appearance and everyday experience of your cabinetry. We offer a carefully curated selection of surfaces to suit different interior styles, lifestyles, and maintenance preferences.

UV PE Cured Coatings

A premium liquid coating instantly hardened under ultraviolet light to create an exceptionally durable finish. UV-cured surfaces provide excellent resistance to fading, household chemicals, and everyday scratches while maintaining a refined appearance over time.

PET Laminates

An eco-conscious thermoplastic polyester finish that delivers a silky smooth, ultra-matte surface with excellent anti-fingerprint performance. Its food-grade safe properties and refined appearance make it particularly popular for contemporary kitchens and family homes.

Melamine Finishes

Melamine finishes offer an extensive selection of colours, textures, and realistic woodgrain designs while providing dependable resistance against everyday heat, moisture, and wear. They remain a practical and versatile solution for modern cabinetry.

Painted & Veneer Finishes

Depending on your preferred interior style, we also offer premium painted finishes and carefully selected natural wood veneers. These finishes allow each project to reflect a distinctive aesthetic, whether Modern Luxury, Modern French, Contemporary, Scandinavian, or another bespoke design direction.

Stone Surfaces

Our stone surfaces are selected for both beauty and long-term performance, offering elegant solutions for kitchens, bathrooms, and feature applications.

Quartz

Applications :

Kitchen Countertops • Bathroom Vanity Tops

Quartz is an engineered stone composed primarily of natural quartz crystals combined with advanced resins. Its non-porous surface provides exceptional resistance to stains, moisture, and everyday wear, making it an ideal choice for busy kitchens and bathrooms while remaining easy to maintain.

Sintered Stone

Applications :

Kitchen Countertops • Vanity Tops • Feature Surfaces

Manufactured under extreme heat and pressure using natural mineral compounds, sintered stone delivers exceptional resistance to heat, scratches, and stains. Its superior durability allows it to withstand demanding everyday use while offering a luxurious natural stone appearance.

Architectural Materials

Architectural detailing adds depth, proportion, and timeless character to interior spaces. We carefully select materials that provide both precision and lasting performance.

High-Density Polyurethane (PU)

Applications :

Wall Mouldings • Wainscotting • Ceiling Cornices • Decorative Trims

High-density polyurethane is lightweight yet highly durable, allowing intricate moulding profiles with excellent dimensional stability. It resists moisture, cracking, and insect damage, making it an excellent choice for elegant wall mouldings, cornices, and decorative trims that retain their appearance over time.

Wood-Plastic Composite (WPC)

Applications :

Decorative Wall Panels • Feature Walls • Ceiling Panels • Interior Architectural  Cladding

Wood Plastic Composite (WPC) combines wood fibres with advanced polymers to create a durable, low-maintenance material for decorative wall and ceiling applications. It offers excellent resistance to moisture, warping, and everyday wear while delivering the warm appearance of natural timber. WPC is particularly well suited for contemporary feature walls and architectural elements where long-term stability and ease of maintenance are important.

Cabinet Hardware

Quality hardware plays an essential role in the functionality, comfort, and longevity of every cabinetry system.

Soft-Close Hinges

Hydraulic soft-close hinges ensure cabinet doors close smoothly and quietly while reducing impact and long-term wear. This enhances everyday comfort and extends the lifespan of your cabinetry.

Full-Extension Drawer Systems

Precision-engineered drawer runners provide smooth movement and full access to drawer contents while maintaining reliable load-bearing performance during daily use.

Lift-Up Systems

Gas-assisted lift mechanisms allow overhead cabinet doors and storage compartments to open effortlessly and remain safely supported while in use, improving convenience in kitchens and storage areas.

Integrated Handles

Designed for both comfort and durability, our integrated handle systems complement a wide range of cabinetry styles while providing excellent resistance to everyday wear and corrosion.

Our Material Selection Philosophy

Every material has a purpose.

Rather than applying a single construction method throughout every project, we carefully consider how each space will be used. Kitchens require materials that withstand heat, moisture, and constant activity. Bathrooms demand enhanced moisture resistance. Decorative wall features prioritise precision and architectural detailing, while wardrobes and storage solutions focus on structural stability and everyday functionality.

By selecting materials according to their intended application, we create bespoke interiors that combine timeless aesthetics with lasting performance.
